Inside a living cell, a molecule waits, and waits, then crosses a long distance in a single step. It is not the diffusion in the textbooks.

A trained network can read that motion from a few seconds of blurred microscopy, and name the physics that produced it.

The same reading works on a graph. Which streets, which contacts, which few vertices carry the load when a city or an epidemic moves.

Underneath all of it sits operator theory, where a system with no nonlinearity at all still turns out to be chaotic. That is where I started.
